Do you ever buy games ironically, /v/?
I've done this a few times in the past, such as with Bioware and Ubisoft games, and am considering doing the same with pic related.
>Do you ever buy games ironically, /v/?
truly a fool and his money are soon parted
I'll pirate Survive just to spite Konami.
Im unironically buying metal gear survive now that the hack is gone

is there even a singeplayer campaign to pirate? I thought it was a MP game
>>381011375
I can't stomach SJ reaction images anymore, the ending was so bad. It literally and retroactively erased the whole cartoon. That's even worse than Kojima/Lucas tier at least they let you keep the good stuff.

Just once, sort of.
I picked up a copy of the Paper Mario Wii U game on a whim, despite never having any real interest in the series, just because fans of the older games kept shitting up this and a bunch of other boards with redundant threads whining about it. I wanted to see if it was as really bad as people were making it out to be.
To this day, I still have yet to open it.

SP was confirmed this E3 but there's close to no details the only information was on a presentation to journalists. Some journos made it sound like the SP is even more survival focused.
>>381011634
Yes it'll be like Left 4 Dead
>>381011214
What's your fucking problem?
>>381011478
Me too. If it's as good as MGSV and we get 4 man team up with my friends it's gonna be a blast.
>>381011671
Don't let your headcanon get in the way, the ending was fantastic
>No footage from E3
I'm sure it'll be great.
>>381011214
>be Konami
>make shitloads from Yu-gi-oh, DDR, and other shit
>have to put up with Kojima
>Kojima blows $20M building the Fox Engine
>MGS V so far behind schedule and overbudge we have to sell a fukken demo
>game gets mixed reception by fans
>bitched about for being incomplete
>push this kojima dolt and his buddies out and quit vidya
>go back to making dosh
Sure Konami is slimy, but let's not pretend Kojima has clean hands in all this. This board also sucked Tim Schafer's dick relentlessly until he started hitting the crowdfunding circuit.
>haha you guys I ironically support bad practices :)
>missions in mgsv
>fulton le npc, snake!
>missions in survive
>you and your 3 teammates have to infiltrate & secure a base and send out a distress signal all while holding off the horde
>>381011214
that's pathetic, op, what in the world is wrong with you.
>>381012425
>they fired some dude i dont know so they are bad
The fuck konami bunch are cringey as hell
>>381011214
how do you ironically buy a game
>>381011214
Haha here's 50 bucks, but its a joke haha
>>381013668
by knowing it's shit, knowing you won't be getting quality or even a good experience, but buying it anyways. Just doing it out of habit.
Same reason people go to Michael Bay films.
Who the fuck does things ironically?
Dirk Strider taught us that all forms of irony must contain an element of honesty to be effective.
>>381011214
God of War trilogy, that shit sucked.
>>381013668
People used to buy Bad Rats as a joke.
>>381014097
Many people do lots of stuff ironically.
Remember there was a "pet rock" fad back in the 70s, and that was back then, when trends were nowhere near as imbued with the post-ironic vibe that has gotten into everything nowadays.
You already made this same thread earlier today.
Stop the spam and being a faggot.
>>381016896
lol
except, you know, making the first 3 mgs games, which were masterpieces, and also making the silent hill series which is one of the best survival horror series out there, to this day
>>381012394
I heard you were talking shit about Fox Engine. Rude.
>>381011214
I bought Andromeda for some reason
>>381017664
>who forced the idea that plot in videogames is somehow relevant
It is.
>>381018930
Same. Bought both the normal and collector's edition. Meh game but nice purchase. :)
>>381011214
theres no difference between buying a game ironically, sincerely, or accidentally OP, so it doesnt even matter
