Story's better. Late game "rotations" are more complex if you're into that.
"Lore" is worse, I.E I hope you enjoy doing absolutely nothing related to being a Paladin for the first fifteen job quests as opposed to all the background story and class quests that Wow (at least used to) has(ve). Also the early game is even more boring than WoW.
That's about it, most of the rest is so similar it's not really worth talking about. Oh, XIV has a better OST too, so there's that. And Trials are a fun mix-up I guess.

Welp, I finished the MSQ.

Against HW, I'd think I'd rate SB higher. The story felt like more of an adventure, where as in HW it felt like you were returning to the mansion every other quest to turn in your report card.

Better villains for sure, maybe HW's ending was a little better though. Dunno. Al Mhigo at the end was a big letdown but aside from that it was great.

Teasers for the MSQ continuation got me excited. Saw one character I was expecting and then another I didn't.

Zenos was a good boy. Zenos did NOTHING wrong.

RDM is pretty fun. I am/was DRG and I am tempted to switch over to it once I get to Kugane. RDM has a real rhythm game feel to it and it's not enslaving you to BOTD. Your 50% proc Ver-______ have something like a 25 second duration to be used, dual cast is like 15. And it and SAM are well set up with the gauge.

DRG seems to only get fun again once you get the post 60 abilities.
