Anyone else feel like the main rivalry is now between only

It's always been that way since 1995. Microsoft had a brief run in with Sony that lasted 7 years, but that's neither here nor there anymore.

What rivalry? They don't even make the same kinds of games. They don't even cater to the same audience.
