Look at all the advertising for Awakening. It's just Chrom doing normal medieval fantasy shit with some snippets of SRPG gameplay.

It's almost as if making a good, attractive game instead of the hideous shit they had for the last handful of titles, advertising it, and even having low-cost accessibility like a demo made it palatable to people.

Waifushit is just a joke people on places like /v/ and other boards talk about. If that stuff had any meaningful effect, the Vita would be a real platform and not just a weird bit of trivia about the 8th generation.
