It follows the story of the first season pretty faithfully but also puts it's own twists into the story to keep it fresh, the gameplay is classic turn-based RPG which works well for the franchise, it is fully voice acted with the majority of the original cast reprising their roles, the music is still there and above all it gave everyone their own Ultimate Evolution instead of just WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon, and they're animated in a style very faithful to the original show.

As far as I know yes, the only translations I've managed to find only go up to Vamdemon.
