I hope Celica gets in. A mix of black magic (Ragnarok, Thunder, Seraphim) and sword can work into her playstyle, and possibly white magic to heal her allies. Course, the magic will consume HP, but that's when her white magic comes into play. It'll have to be on a cooldown, but it forces people to mix between using magic and physical so that they don't get themselves killed. She'll probably be DLC for all I know.

Shadow Dragon, Awakening, and Fates are the highest selling games in the series history. It's a sound decision for marketing.

They still wouldn't do that because by design, the only way they can be satisfied with an avatar is if they can marry ANYBODY themself. An offspring stand in wouldn't do, and neither would a simple age up since they have to have a consistent appearance for the teenage playerbase to self insert to, so they'd have to do some time travel bullshit to let the Avatar get away with it.

They just wouldn't do this for FE4. FE2 could have had an Avatar but they didn't because Alm and Celica's parties are so split and there'd be no way for the Avatar to bounce between them and effectively support whoever they wanted.

Yeah, I'm sort of accepting it myself. FE6 is by no means a completely terrible game, and would still be a pleasant step up from FE2. I feel I would still enjoy a remake of it very much. Lord knows Roy's had it coming since his long standing breakout popularity.
