I tried using regular controls and switched back to sticks. The game won't misread your movements if you don't do the waggling equivalent with button mashing.

Basically, if you were too retarded with motion controls on Wii boxing, you'll have trouble here. One problem is that you'll often want to to move and flail like you would IRL, but once you start to understand how the reaction time on the motion controls works, you'll be able to do things like throw punches in sequence just right that it is like throwing two punches at the same time when really you just instinctively know just when to throw each punch after another that the motion control won't read it as a grab. It's really about precision inputs as with any fighting game
