Not necessarily. There are extremely strong moves you can use in DDS as well but Demifiend can just tank it. There's also the matter that the roles of the Demons in Persona and mainline are different. Where P3MC had to give his life just to hold off Nyx, Nyx is just a bartender in Nocturne and the Demifiend could decimate her. You can't properly compare their strengths because there's no basis to say how Personas compare to the strength of an actual Demon, though Demifiend has accomplished more and is stronger than the party of DDS, so it's safe to assume he's one of the stronger protagonists.

I imagine Demifiend is stronger than Hero. The most powerful Demons Hero fought were Asura, Michael and Beelzebub, if we exclude Stephen seeing as every protagonist fought him. The Hero also has no supernatural abilities or anything of the sort, he's just got a gun, a sword and his COMP. He probably would be stronger than the Demifiend if he had a bigger advantage considering he can get by just using a gun, sword and COMP, but in his current state, he's probably weaker than Demifiend. I haven't played SMT II yet so I don't know about Aleph.
