Looking at my friendslist and the numbers of the yones, I'd say 10% of the playerbase manages to pass both bottlenecks. If that trend continues we have 80% stuck at either wall. There are probably still a lot of people not doing the preorder, meaning it just will get worse. It is getting worse right now, people who level SAM or RDM are now 61, and also try to progress.

As someone who got past both bottlenecks with no problems: This has to be easily the best leveling experience I ever had. Since all yones were empty as fuck upon arrival it felt great to explore and I got really the impression of unexplored lands and being a foreigner in these new cities and villages.

you can use that meter to sheltron, which restores mana, letting you Holy Spirit more

PLD is like 3.x warrior now, all it's stuff synergizes extremely well. Since you can block magic damage Bulwark and Passage of Arms are both potent defensive cooldowns and basically refill your meter completely.

Since you can block magic you can use sheltron while offtanking to proc shield swipe/mana restore of raid wide/aoe damage

Plus if you ever need to move because of aoe/damage zones you can spam holy spirit until the boss moves to you or the red zones go away.

70 SAM will be way different than 60 SAM let alone 50. At 50 you have no kenki gauge, at 60 you only have your attack boost and gap maker/closer kenki moves and fuck all way to generate it, at 70 the rotation will presumably change to convert one or two sen into 15 kenki gauge each every 40 seconds and Shinten and Seigan will actually be worth using.

bad sign, I'd say. every time I got one of those it just ended up being a really long cooldown on my ability to spam Raubahn for attempts. it just would end up kicking me out like 30-60 seconds later. I'm not sure there's really any "sign" that shows you're more likely or less likely to get in. you just keep doing it until all of sudden the instance actually loads.

also, don't fuck up the fight. there's bombs that tether to you and chase you around slowly until they explode after ~10 seconds. don't let the explosion hit you (and I'd say keep them away from the group as well, since I heard that if you lose an ally the duty fails).

my priority for the duty was as follows:
1) stay on the far side, far away from all your allies.
2) kill the untagged little magitek crawler shits that show up.
3) when there are no untagged little shits, focus on big magitek armor guy. go back to killing the little shits as they spawn.
4) when the bombs spawn and tether to you, make sure to be far away from them (and from your allies) before they blow up.

then once you do that a bit and the big magitek armor guy gets like half-healthed or some shit, there's another cutscene and you get to ambush him. at that point, he'll start to self-destruct and you have to win a DPS race to prevent it from allahu ackbaring everyone to bits. once that's done, duty complete.
