Give Obsidian a second crack at it so that they can actually finish the damned thing with a proper ending and add a few more planets and quests while they're at it. Maybe update the gameplay to something more interesting, say a Dragon Age: Origins style combat system.

I feel like CL was just an all in one package. Tons of content, decent learning curve, NG+ (with the option to play as Arcia, which gave you a different, albeit spammy playstyle) and I remember it having an intense final boss.

There's a fantastic game buried under all of its problems, especially their fear to adapt their game to the surprisingly-sizable competitive scene.

Basically any good 3d game made before 7th gen. Just don't remake them with 7th gen graphics, those are a monster of their own. Use 8th+. But goddamn no game deserves to be left on the era of early 3d.
