I'm having trouble with new vegas.

i've encountered a problem in my game where I'm unable to use any part of the Items and Stats parts of the Pip-boy. I scroll my cursor over the items and/or menu selectors and none of them can be selected.

The Data section of the Pip-boy works just fine, I can access everything including fast travel, so why is it just Items and Stats that are giving me a problem? I've never encountered this glitch before and it has never happened over the course of my 80+ hours playing the game.

After further inspection the problem runs deeper, this glitch is affecting every menu in the game that needs to be clicked; companion wheels, inventory options etc. This has the potential of being a game breaking glitch and I really don't want that to happen.

none of the solutions have worked.
the move marker/unmark thing only works some of the time and only until i fast travel again.
turning off archive invalidation just made my character's hair the fucking SUN, although it did work better, not fully fixed.

I've had all of them since the beginning or near the beginning of the game, its only just now that the menu thing started happening.

Anyone here know of a fix that actually works?

i posted this a few days ago and i found something that does fix the mouse issue. Only now, i can't leave the lucky 38 without the game crashing and nothing has worked.
I found this particular mod, which was the only one that mentioned fixing the mouse issue.
