My biggest concern making the mask is there are a lot of thin and skinny parts that could break pretty easy.

Most of my masks are sculpted using clay, molded and then casted in a resin that is reinforced by aluminum.

I like to use modeling clay (like in pic related) and then mold it to cast the mask in fiberglass, for the most part.

Have you tried working with non sulphur clays? It can be reused and you can really get great details with it.

I always found the design of majora mask giant's mask really cool. Make one fagget. Also check this 5

I have, as a matter of fact, my clay of choice is super sculpey, though i have heard good things about monster clay, not available in my country, unfortunately.
Btw that you mention sulfur based clay, if you ever do make a model out of it, never use silicone to mold it. that's a mistake, i will not repeat, i'll tell you that much.

Ahh I never use sulphur clay, only non sulphur. Chavant NSP is my end all for clays.

Get some not sulphur clay and just play with it. Get a head armature and sculpt the shape over top, then mold it and cast it. There are many different ways to do it but that's a good start.

Mine's a simple one, but I always loved it when I played; Goblin masks from Ragnarok Online. I literally farmed HOURS at a time just to get every mask they could drop. Pic related was my favorite one of the bunch, named "Surprised Mask". It's nothing fancy, nothing extremely detailed or memorable, but it holds a place in my gaming heart since it was my first cosmetic item in any video game that I actually earned from playing. I had many gifted to me from friends or bought from other players, but this was the first one I got by myself.
