I'll give you this one in Yamcha's defense as well. The reason Tien, Roshi, and Krillin are on the team is because they are close friends with Goku. The thing is they work well as a team. 18 and 17 are siblings so they would work well together. Frieza has NO synergy with ANYONE on Team U7. Hell, he killed some of them.

That said I'm glad Frieza is back and may be reforming. I never cared much for Yamcha aside from his signature move being badass.

I've barely watched the newer season. Most of the episodes from Duelist Kingdom are almost unwatchable at this point, City Tournament is hit and miss for the first couple episodes and then picks up all the way until the end of the filler/tournament arc. Been playing this game all night actually. It's still the best DBZ game until FighterZ but there's a lot of things I wish were different.

There's no way to fuck around as Meta Cooler of Mecha Frieza other than just going in VS mode and letting the AI wail on you until the capsule kicks in, and because the capsules take up so much space you can't even have a full moveset with them. Same with Majin Vegeta, although you can actually activate Majin Vegeta in practice mode using Viral Heart Disease.

As well the worst thing is that in practice mode there's no way to set fusion character timers to infinite, so if you want to practice with Gotenks, Gogeta or SS4 Gogeta you literally have to keep doing the fusion dance random quicktime every fifteen to twenty five seconds. There's an option by pressing Select to refresh your ki gauge to MAX and yet they couldn't do the same for the fusion timer?

Considering I've been playing it for like six hours tonight even after more than a decade it's obviously still a great game to just mess around with but some of these things are pretty annoying. Sould've been more options for this

I know installs exist in some of the anime fighters, but I think it would be cool to have an entire game based on meter burning super forms, where you have to choose to survive up until building a ton of meter to transform, or using it on moves and specials to end the fight quickly.

If Goku ate the senzu bean as Cell sugested, Goku would befriend him eventually, since Cell just wanted to fight someone interesting as Goku, not a prideful kid like Gohan or even Vegeta when he started screaming too much wth "MUH PRIDE SUPER BEJITA", hell, even Future Trunks was more interesting to Cell than Vegeta.
But going back, Cell even wanted Goku to eat one senzu bean without him eating one, but for true saiyans that is not a fair fight

In RoF(freeza's movie) he fights and does something, in that arc in Super they killed him off in a silly way to save Gohan again.
He fights a Freeza clone from another universe after Goku losing to that guy. But that Freeza is cheating so both Goku and Piccolo lose. When they learn that Freeza is cheating that guy gets eliminated and Goku and Piccolo are back. That is until Vegeta says to Piccolo to step aside and forfeit which Piccolo obeys like a dog and loses automatically. But since Goku is the mc he can get left for later.
Current arc there is no big boost for him. He helps Gohan to get his Ultimate form again and Gohan rapes him instantly.
In this tournament I bet Piccolo will only aid with tactics and do some combos with Gohan. Even 17 now seems to be more relevant than Piccolo and much stronger than big green
