I'm one of those "new players" they're seeking. Playing the free trial and then seeing these changes for Stormblood has put me off buying the game entirely. Everything I liked just got fucking axed.

The problem is that SE doesn't invest any money on this game at all. This game saved the name of FFXIV and probably funded a good chunk of XV and the VII Remake, yet SE still treats it like a mobile game that they can drop the moment things turn sour.

They still spend a disgustingly low amount on it, though. Like fuck's sake, if your designers are worried about the prospect of having to redo a few dozen shoes to implement a new race something is fucking wrong.
