It had a better 3rd party support.

Even the worst Zelda is still a good game in its own right. Most of my time with the GameCube was spent playing Smash with friends. All three consoles of that gen had some great titles. Probably played my PS2 the most.

Great 3rd party support, great exclusives like Luigi's Mansion, and a system seller in smash bros melee. What's the issue here?

a nintendo game doesn't actually need to be good, it just needs things that I can clap at because I recognize. That's why breath of the wild was so good. Not because of its shallow open world or braindead gameplay made for toddlers, but because I clapped when I saw koroks.

god, I miss 6th gen, all 3 consoles were fantastic with fuckhuge libraries full of great games

It was a powerhouse for its price and size like the Switch. Now we are seeing history repeat itself exactly the same way.
