How hard would it be to have real mouse and keyboad support on console games?
Most games are multiplat anyway, so is it as easy as checking a box for those titles?

Not hard at all. Current consoles natively support Keyboard and Mouse. It's just that most Devs don't want you to use them.
For example on PS4 (and Xbone too I'm sure) you can plug any USB keyboard and write on PS4 interfaces (like typing your name in games, or sending messages to players).
In FF14 and Warthunder M&K are supported on the whole game, just plug them in and you're ready to go. FF14 even shares PC servers (I think).
So the functionality is there, it's not Sony's or MS's fault.

The thing is, the console would be using the analog system with the mouse, it's not the same at all, and then there's autoaim on top of it. Unless it's native support, it's not really the same as using a mouse on a computer.
