Also, hard to say. Trendsetters was more about managing the stock in a single store while also assigning outfits, although I didn't play enough to say how challenging or difficult that became. Fashion Forward seems like it has you jumping from store to store and only working on the outfits/makeup/etc, but I only played the eShop demo and so I'm not clear if you are also managing the stock of stores as well. It seems like that would be a hassle in Fashion Forward if that was the case, plus there isn't exactly much stock in makeup or hair dressing. (You don't exactly buy haircuts from the retailer and sell them to individual customers.)
