This only happened to me once during the fight against the opera robot. I reclaimed my body and was mindful of dying after that.
It gave me two choices, one was to reclaim and the other to repair the body. What would have happened if I repaired it? Two 2Bs?
As 9S I found the backstory of the robot hilarious, while the game is fun the writing is extremely trite and cringey. It's like watching a c grade anime.

Seriously though, this Souls-inspired mechanics are the fucking worst in pretty much everything. They try so hard to copy it, yet they fail it at the basic level.
