The amount you can get away with charging for goes up with how popular you become (and what you're willing to draw, if you ever do decide to do porn, some people will pay literally thousands of dollars to have their extremely fucked up but exclusive fetish realized), and even moderately popular furry artists have no issues finding commissions at $25-30 a drawing, + more for shading, color, additional characters, backgrounds, etc.
If you're very good, you don't even need to draw porn as believe it or not there are lots of people in both groups that just want cool pictures of their OCs. The easiest way to get connections to degenerates is through Second Life or furry art places like Furaffinity.

If you have the skills and can't find work in an actual industry as an artist or concept designer then this is the best way to make tons of money almost effortlessly. It's how I did it.
