Would Metroid game work in 3rd person by now? I understand kinda why they didn't do it in 2002 but I see no reason why it may not work now. Imagine how immersive it'd be with today's tech

Also I never played Other M , I know nothing about it. Never even saw any footage or let's play

most over the shoulder stuff is slow paced so it could work, I think fps with traditional dual stick might work better honestly.

There's an extra shoulder button to work with nowadays for allowing beams/visor/item swaps as well

the problem with other m's controls was the boneheaded decision to try and cram them into a single wiimote

third-person platforming has been a solved problem basically since mario 64, and there's more than enough additional control options to make blasting work well alongside that
