Well, it's pretty obvious I'm not going to be able to max out all my confidants by the end of the game. What does the new game plus actually do? I would like to go through again someday, maybe with a guide this time.
And another thing, I'm in a "special relationship" with Makoto, but does that actually mean anything? She's already maxed out as a confidant, but I took her out again and gave her a necklace, which she liked, but I don't think that will help me any because she's already at level 10. I felt like I probably just wasted the first part of the day.

NG+ is the exact same game, only with a new Optional Boss Fight and a few things that carry over. (Compendium, Equip items, Rank 10 confidant items, etc)
I don't think it's worth it honestly, though I did replay P3 in the same way.
If you're rank 10 the only reason to do anything else with them is if you want to see scenes that won't benefit you very much.
New game plus carries over your money, items, persona compendium, and social stats. You also get abilities unlocked automatically for every confidant you maxed in NG, and you get an item that lets you rank up your lover's confidant extra fast from NG if you got into a relationship.
And no, the special relationship thing means nothing. You did just waste the first part of your day; once a link is maxed you can still go on dates with them but it doesn't do anything.

Well that's no good. They should give you a few extra confidant levels with the person. Maybe in Persona 6. I mean, you let me feel all special, and then it doesn't do anything. Sure I can take Makoto to my room so we can "be together" (that's so cute) but I can't do that when I have to be spending time with everyone else.
Is it really that tough to max out the social links in P5? On a fresh game of 4 you could max out many of em

They may release something like P4:G, which gives you more scenes for rank 10 party members and a third Persona evolution.

I'd say is easier than 4, a new player can still fuck it up though.

I've never played a Persona game before. Went into it knowing nothing. I've got several maxed out, but I definitely won't have them all.

lmao get gud

Am I the only one who doesn't like this game? So far I'm interviewing students about some abusive volleyball coach but the story seems so obvious and hamfisted that I can't bring myself to enjoy it.

I don't know what to tell you, I was already pretty enthralled by that point. It's a little heavy handed sometimes I guess, but it never really bothered me.
>>380807681
looks like I'm gonna have to sell it famalam.I bought Yakuza 0 a few days ago and love it
>>380807839
Heard good things about Yakuza, but I didn't have a PS2 or 3. I'll buy the remake of the first game when it comes out.
>>380807565
yeah I felt the same at that point
it doesn't get better but the gameplay is okay enough for me to keep on playing

You should at least play until you meet the best girl.

I finished the game nig, they're all shit

If don't like it you better stop right now
The writing never stops being heavyhanded
