But "covering all the bases" is completely unnecessary. After two or three battles, you'll have a good idea of what you're dealing with for the next ten floors so you can just warp back and form the perfect party for that block immediately.

There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to have to "cover all your bases".

I think it's not bad, but most people say it is. General answer is that it lacks a few of the handy features that The Journey has, as in Compendium, Link Exp Boosts, etc.

I personally felt it was a welcome change after endless hours of Social stuff.
If you enjoyed P3's dungeon/combat gameplay, it's just more of the same only an actual challenge. Well disregarding the final fight in it anyway.

You can also just solo everything if you want, I'm not trying to say that's it's "super duper hardest game ever made" here.
It's just more of a challenge than The Journey, that's all.

You don't need to change if you'd rather just power through, because the MC can carry everyone. It'll still make your time a hell of a lot easier, whereas in Journey it barely matters at all.
