So I bought a new stick and I'm looking for games to try it out on. Obviously Tekken, which I'm working on, but let's be real here, is SFV really that bad? It'll undoubtedly go on sale for $19.99 again next week on PC so would I be a complete moron for paying that much for it? It seems like I could do a lot worse, and even though I have USF4 I was never good at it and I imagine most people have moved on to V now.
tl;dr is SFV being bad just a meme?

It's okay.
The biggest problem with it is that it the game becomes way to 50/50 heavy at high levels. Making it just not fun to play. The high low game is non existent too. It's just throw or frametraps.

If you are new to fighters its fun, but once you get into it and play other things, you realize just how shallow and limited it is.

I always to play Guilty Gear over SFV but I never see much people online to play with.

It's a standard fighting game. It lacks bells and whistles, but it's solid.
