Theey're not, but I'd take levels that are too big to levels that are too small any day. Every level in B-K can be beaten in 5 minutes except fro Click Clock Wood, which is easily one of the worst levels in any game ever.

Kazooie is a more coherent and concise experience. Play Tooie nowadays and try to convince yourself the levels aren't too big and sprawled out, there's not too much shit to collect and backtracking to be done.

In Kazooie, you can 100% every level on its own except Freezezypeak and Gobi's Valley for which you need a new ability from each other respectively to fully complete.

Fuck people who think Tooie is better than Kazooie. Also witchyworld sucks dick

Backtracking is not inherently bad. Every time you have to backtrack in Tooie, there is new content available, be it a minigame or a new area. The inter-connectivity of Tooie's levels is vastly superior to playing a level once and then moving on to the next one, never thinking about the last level again. In Tooie, after every level, you have to keep it in the back of your mind if you want that out-of-reach Jiggy.
