Hey /v/, what are somefun"walking simulator" games?
You know the drill, running, exploring, running, chilling, running again, looting, running some more, enjoy the landscape, running again, survive, roleplay a bit and stop running when it's raining and find shelter, maybe build something, etc
Doesn't matter if multiplayer or singleplayer
That doesn't sound like a walking simulator. Sounds more like one of those shitty survival games like Rust.
Anyway, Firewatch is good

Miscreated
theHunter CotW. You need a beast PC to run it though,

Mirror's Edge.
Elder Scrolls
Any fallout game
STALKER, although it is more of a FPS survival type thing. Kinda hard to shove it into one category, but it has almost all the features you request.
>running around trying to find stuff
>loot
>sit around a campfire with others to relax. Listen to guitar playing, drink some vodka, eat some kielbasa.
>stop exploring when "raining." Weather anomalies are more than just rain, you'll literally die outside.
But you have to shoot stuff and there is a plot with some substance.
I dunno it was just more atmospheric and immersive than actual survival games like Stranded Deep that I've played.

>STALKER
>plot
ok bruh
Squad. Although with all the vehicles now it's less walking. Still slow and methodical and comfy with your squad

>plot...some substance
I didn't say it was fabulous or the pinnacle of game writing. Just mentioning a plot exists. It is a fact there is more story going on than a typical survival game, and I don't know if OP wants that or not.

One of the only walking simulators I like.

Pretentious and boring.

Are decent, go to steam and checkout similiar games.
Path to Thalamus also not bad, but it is more of a puzzle game, also pretentious.

boring I can understand but how the fuck is it pretentious?
Antichamber is a puzzlegame, Fract OSC also. Lifeless Planet is purely walking simulator, I think it is bad objectively, but I liked it.

It felt that way.

How?
