Any character archetype that gets included will probably have two others of the same archetype (so if joke characters get in, Hercule/Arale/Jaco for example)

It's an Arc System Works game, so every single frame of every character's animation has to have custom lighting applied to it for every single possible stage.

You aren't getting more than 24 characters.

On the other hand, major transformations will probably be included as supers or part of the comeback mechanic(s) so that might potentially make what will be a relatively small cast feel a lot larger.
