Major issues with Infinite so far:
>Roster recycle
80% reused assets from UMVC3 down to the animations but without changing the camera angles or anything for art changes
>Day 1 DLC SFxT style
Essentially every new character except Jedah, Captain Marvel, and Ulton are all behind a pay wall despite being on the disk.
>Art/Sound design
All stylized and comic aesthetics are gone for more realistic designs to the point of making characters (especially on the capcom side) fall into the uncanny valley.
>Broken gameplay
I'm surprised nobody has brought this up, but the Stone system is absolutely broken, even more so than X factor. Note that from Combofiend's steam we learned Stone
- have infinite use for their abilities and any move can be canceled into them (spammable)
- Infinity meter is filled up either by taking damage a la ultra meter in SF4 or by using the said spammable abilities
- While in Infinity storm you gain a significant buff offensively and also have access to a level 3 super without the cost of any meter, and can be used even in the last millisecond of the the storm
- Having one of your players die grants you 50% stone meter
With this in mind, the stones no only upset the balance completely by getting rid of players weaknesses like mobility, lack of a projectile, etc. but also creates an extremely cheap reward system for strategically spamming the stones for meter.
Also given the stones free level 3 to all characters during the storm, instantly having a stone when you have a player killed a ridiculous comeback mechanic.
There is nothing to stop you from building stone meter by spamming reality spears or playing keepaway by spamming time dodge(which also functions as a plink) until your enemy has an opening while accumulating meter.

Its shit, buy DBZ instead
>>380746248
capcom 100% dead in the fighting game department now?
>>380747304
Pretty much.
Street Fighter V died because it wanted to be e-Sports instead of a good fighting game that people would want to buy and play.
MvCi looks like ass, has a shit roster and just has too many bad things going for it.

lol

>The stones are broken
>When you now have custom assists, infinite tag outs, and it's a Marvel fighting game in the first place
M8, we've had like 8 of these type of games already, balance should be the last thing you're worried about. Anyone who says "Spamming" or "broken" in the same paragraph as Marvel is a fucking idiot. Including me
right now

good job

The only bad thing is the DLC. Even just from playing the demo, the old characters have enough changes that some relearning is required. And the complete freedom in using your mechanics is great. Combos are going to be so crazy now, and you just know everybody's going to have their own play style, regardless of team makeup. Even just seeing what people are doing with the story demo makes me excited.
I gave KoF XIV a chance, I'm obliged to give MvC: I a chance as well. I won't shitpost on the matter until the game releases.
QUICK, POST YFW GAMORA SHOWED UP IN THE TRAILERlets keep this ball rollin', folks

So you think hulk being able to move around like Wesker, and getting meter just for teleporting is fair?
>>380751165
yeah, that sounds cool as shit, and then you have Strider being able to airdash teleport OUT of a teleport sounds cool as hell
>>380744938
>spammable
Oh look, it's a scrub trying to tell people what to think of a fighting game.
>>380746248
Why? DBZ looks like a game I played before. The gameplay looks ok, but not very exciting.
that'll be $59.99 plus tip
>mfw I know Disney has been responsible for game's art and visual direction, Marvel's Cinematic Universe only roster and forcing Capcom's character models look more unappealing compared to Marvel's.
I already decided not make my purchase thanks to locking SIX playable characters behind DLC paywall, some of them also appearing in story mode just to be cocktease.
I might change my mind if you can grind those DLC fighters like in SFV, but there's no sign of it currently.

You're not realizing that its an easy to use ability, that charges up the meter whether the ability misses, is blocked, or is punishable. Thats why it called "spammable". Because spamming a dash is going to do soooo much damage to the enemy.
>>380751453
>"I dont like either games, time to jump in!"
Oh no, the contrarian.
>>380751976
You should add in a "Ur invited to" to the note and over the MvC logo, to make his reaction make more sense.
