Why would bisexuals care if any character is bi? Surely they could 'self-insert' into any straight or homo relationship? It was always in media since the sixties except it was tokenism then it evolved into the shit we have today. In vidya I'd say the whole representation began in the early 2010's or at least that was when I started to notice it.
The worst thing about this representation thing is that you're not really allowed to write decent non-white characters. They all are have to be perfect. There's also the fact that this representation craze has fucked up historical games. They are adding random blacks even if the setting doesn't have blacks.
I don't mind playing as non-whites or women but its whhen its extremely forced I hate it. Like I wouldn't expect whites to be playable in a Zulu game why should there be blacks in a Viking Age game.
