If mario party was brought to pc with online multiplayer it would sell amazingly well.
If another company tried to make a similar party game, it wouldn't have the mario cast and would probably just feel worse or have a shitty art direction. Hard to capture the feel of mario party

Fun multiplayer oriented experiences are not niche at all.

All the attemps at Mario Party clones have been awful, with only Crash Bash being ok.

Fortune Street is pretty much the only one that can really compare and that is also published by Nintendo

Because Nintendo both gave birth to it and killed it. Mario Party reached the peak of quality at 3, started dying out by 5 and was complete ass at 8 and onwards.

Pic related is a fucking doujin game that's getting updates and new content to this fucking day, and it doesn't even have minigames, just a solid niche and a few minor memes.

Nintendo hasnt really made a good mario party game which is a shame.
