Should we include a TV's cost to the XboneX's $500? That said, I like the BoneX, it fits a nice slot of just around a midrange PC. Couple that with how the Xbros and PCfags are pretty much the same crowd now thanks to Play Anywhere, it definitely makes things a lot more convenient for both communities. You could either go for a midrange PC and it'll double as a work station or go for a BoneX and get a pretty alright 4k gaming machine. You put a single core CPU in with a 1080ti and the cpu will not be able to feed it. Is the XboneX CPU going to severely limit it? I think you misunderstood. Their strategy is to make profit on the games sold, not on the hardware, that's what I meant by pushing. Nothing to do with graphical fidelity here. They know there's a huge PC market there already with a large chunk of them that's using some form of Windows. By releasing these games on the PC, they can tap into a lot of different people with different needs, like you said, among which are:

>people who don't currently have Windows 10 may be pushed into upgrading their OS and buying the game on PC
In the end, given how apparently cheap it is to port the games to PC anyway, they might as do so and rake in dosh from the software's sale rather than just hoping PCfags will bite down and get an Xbone or XboneX in order to play these exclusives. And after all is said and done, their mere willingness to do this already earns them some good will from the PCfags.

That's definitely the case here with the BoneX but I just don't know if it'll sell well, unfortunately. It's been quite some time since the PS4 Pro's been out and we just don't know if people will really splurge on another console if they already have one just for the sake of slightly better graphics or performance. PCfags like myself definitely aren't going to get it since the games are coming to PC anyway. It's good that they've got a pretty strong lineup but they're definitely gonna need more for next year. A new Fable, Ninja Gaiden and some new IPs would definitely help get more consolefags to splurge on it, maybe. Maybe also include some sort of incentive so current Xbone owners can 'upgrade' to a BoneX for cheaper? I think Sony did something like that with the PS4 Pro.

Again, I don't hate the Xbone X, but I would never buy one. If I cared about exclusives+specs, I would get the PS4 Pro. If I cared only about exclusives (*that I'm interested in*), I would get a PS4 base/slim. If I cared only about specs, I'd get a PC. If I wanted to game on the go (and liked Nintendo exclusives), I'd get a Switch or a 3DS.

There's just no market for the Xbone X, in my opinion. It doesn't make it a horrid piece of tech, or anything. It just doesn't seem to have a home.

I can at least understand the custom/elite controllers, because both are at a pretty good price (when compared to their competitors, and work well with PCs, too.

They're cheap, decent, but get hot as hell. I got an fx 8350 for 50 bucks of a friend. Its not worth buying one new. I only have a 1080p display so I can't say anything about higher res gaming but I get reliable 60fps in every game installed. Had to install a water cooler on it too but that's any amd chip they all get hot.
