if you are going to get the game you most likely need the season pass.
alternativly i would recommend Titanfall 2 or play some shit like Quake champions/UT/Lawbreakers.

The game is still very active, and judging by bf4 it'll still be active after the consoles have died out.
The next DLC isn't due until September, and the last one added some pretty neat new toys
The campaign is a boring slog with one surprising exception, but don't expect anything noteworthy from the single player.
All in all, it's a fun thing to play once in a while.

it's fine on consoles.
for me personally, the mode isn't that fun and it takes really long.
rush is better for small scale
Conquest is better for large scale.
a full game of operations with all 3 defenses or whatever takes like an hour, fuck that.

Can't access via the server browser and have to commit to multi-map campaign matches over a 3-4 hour timespam, have to find another server once the match ends, it would be better as a single map thing with one reinforcement wave.
