Modern Superman really doesn't have many powers. Super strength, speed, senses, invulnerability, heat vision, super breath, frost breath, and super flare. The problem with Superman is that all of those powers are so stupidly strong that it's almost impossible to accurately portray them.

The lanterns might have even less depth to their super status, but it would be harder for them to have a GOOD game u think because you'd have to grant the player a whole lot of freedom to make it fun. The GL game blew because it was really linear and didn't even have fun combat. The bit about the lanterns is making fun combat. The rings have so much potential and are literally only limited to the bearer's imagination as to what they can do, so given that there have to be presets, there would have to be a fuck ton to make it a fun experience.

I imagine that the lasso mechanic could tie up an enemy and force them to struggle, which could knock you off your feet unless you brace yourself with a button. Then you could either yank the rope to pull the enemy towards you or try and knock them down. Then maybe you could try and tie up downed enemies to completely end encounters nonlethally.
