Character design is cute and gameplay has some depth but everything else is immensely mediocre. Just get yourself an old gem like Vagrant story, Xenogears or Chrono cross if you're looking for good jrpg.

Not much more than slice of life moe but that can be fun as well. If you don't like it then atelier isn't for you.

They are just ok. Atelier Sophie was a major step in the right direction. You could pimp out grade using exploits, but in the end it doesn't matter, because the final boss can be downed after throwing a level down at him.

The earlier PS3 games (Atelier Rorona Plus, at least) were decent crafting games. The story was shit and Rorona's character was bad, but the game itself was rather good.

The Arland games are Okay. Mana Khemia is the better Gust Jrpg, only downside is that you dont play as a cute girl (still get cute girls as party members)

Alchemy and music is good in all of them.
Dusk and Mystery have fun combat. Arland combat is serviceable but nothing special.
