I actually liked having familiars but the overhaul to the combat system was a much needed change I hope theres a playable character that uses familiars/creatures and acts like the puppiteer/summoner/slave driver/necromancer of the group.

The first game is okay. Has a like it or absolutely despise it battle system (its a weird mix between turn based and real time combat.. The world is beautiful to look at. Some characters have charm, but most are pretty bland. The story is interesting, at least until The White Witch takes over as the main antagonist (which makes sense because her part wasn't in the original game)
