Because if you're with your team like you should be, you will either be A) healing or B) boosting damage literally all the time. Your gun, while very great at being spammed and the bane of all wannabe widowmakers, is less efficient than most other heroes so it is better for you to constantly jam their ass with boosted damage. Your ult doesn't give your teammates uber, constant crits, fast healing or shielding from a specific kind of damage. It revives dead people and if your team is good you will most likely never use it. Mercy exists for when the team makes too many mistakes. The times you will ever get to shoot your gun will be when you are unfortunately alone or if nobody else is harassing the person up top shooting toward your team. Also without shit like the ubersaw she has no incentive to go on the offensive herself. between mercy and the overall quality of the community I just stopped playing. The game is very shallow on ladder if you aren't playing with people you consistently practice with and at that point you should be scrimming anyways. Mercy's design is so painfully unfun and makes no sense to me, Blizzard has a lot of thinking over to do about the overall balance and direction of overwatch.

I'm not a Mercy player so my thoughts on this may be different than yours, but you're also probably retarded.

I've never heard people say "Die on the Point" but in 3.5k SR the Mercy mains will tell people to die together when she has ult ready. The reason why the Mercy players are telling players in lower SRs to die on the point is probably so people like you understand where you should be. For some clarification: when everyone is together (and on the point) it means the enemy will usually burn all their offensive ultimate in an attempt to get a team kill. You're not going to have someone like Zarya use her ult when there's only one person nearby, nor will the enemy Ana use her ult if NanoBlade or NanoVisor will only get one or two people. So if you group up and the enemy gets antsy and drops all their big game-ending ults, its more efficient for a Rez to make all that shit pointless.

Hacking should be her main priority, but give her more incentive to hack the heroes in the game that don't rely on abilities.
