My friend got a vive and gave me his old rift. But my video card sucks (geforce 760) so I need a new one. Looks like the 1070 is good enough.

Should I get any 1070? EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition, 8GB is fine? Is there any brand I should avoid (EVGA/Gigabyte/MSI/Asus/etc) ?

Afaik the Palit ones are goat, the top Gygabyte cards are pretty good too. Don't know about the others.

This gen of cards are pretty much indistinguishable from each other performance-wise. At the most, you'll be getting 2-3 frames difference, maybe a bit more after overclocking. Just grab whatever looks the best or has the best price. Avoid reference or founders edition cards.
