What the hell is wrong with me and does anyone else suffer from the same unability to complete games?
Well, I sort of have the same syndrome, but I'm probably way older than you. After playing so many games from beginning to end for 15+years, I sort of started feeling everything was the same, after the ps2 there's hasn't been more than 10 titles that have hooked me and felt unique I believe. Also games became available to me much more easily now that I have enough income to buy whatever electronic entertainment I want. I pick something for 2, 4, maybe 6 hours at most, and if it feels generic and repetitive I don't care and just drop it. I been tricked so many times by people saying "it gets good once you're 30+ hours in", "you need to play the damn thing 4 times before it gets good" and other crap like that, even if I have enough time to play all I want to don't like wasting it on stuff that's uninteresting, I rather watch some tv show/movie/anime, or fap, or read a book, or do some artsy stuff.
Last jrpg I enjoyed was xenoblade, but I have to admit after 30+ hours I only kept going because of Fiora's butt, the game became stupidly repetitive at that point, and the story while decent wasn't keeping me hooked enough when the dungeons started to feel like a chore.
