I dropped it on Soul Master. Reaching him to try again was harder than actually fight him. Bullshit level design + bullshit enemy that takes forever to defeat placement = fuck this shit i got other games to play.

I couldn't deal with the artificial difficulty of this game. Enemies, mini bosses and bosses takes fucking forever to defeat, too many hits are needed without any variety in combat. The pretty visuals and great music fooled me for a long time though.

There is a map, but you have to find the cartographer to unlock the map for that section of the world. after you've bought the map you have to map it out yourself by exploring and then resting a at a bench. there are upgrades for the map that will make it mark important locations such as fast travel spots and benches after you've been there.

I found it to have a good enough aesthetic. The designs of some of the areas and creatures is quite appealing, but most of the best designs are near the end of the game. The final two areas in particular has a lot of really memorable as fuck things in it.
