Nowadays they're made for the online players. Their most played mode is the my players. People make a fictional player and spend hundreds of hours grinding him to increase his stats. You have to spend hundreds of hours grinding your character before he can compete online. They sell shit loads of dlc through this because of impatient casuals. Some people pay up to hundreds of dollars on dlc if they have multiple characters. This shit is more cancerous than an MMO.
