Is it just me, or did the entirety of Dark Souls 3 seem rushed?

Is it just me, or did the entirety of Dark Souls 3 seem rushed? I thought they would go all out on the supposed finale of the series (not entirely sold on there not being a successor), but it just seems empty. Almost none of the major plot points from DS1 and DS2 are addressed, and for their new and final revealed God, Filianore, they couldn't be bothered to give her any lines?

It wasnt rushed, it was just an uninspired safe bet, especially considering it came after Bloodborne. No other way to describe it for me.
