If you feel like that, try something else. I spent the early portion of the PS3 days trying to find a different hobby. It didn't work, but at least I gained respect for videogame addiction.

Free time is meant to be spent on things you enjoy as a reward for your time spent working.

If you enjoy games, they are not a waste of time. If you don't enjoy them, they are.

If you only don't enjoy them because you think they are a waste of time, that's a catch 22. Just have fun. Pursue another hobby for a while and come back in a month

Replacing video games with another activity is one of the best things you can do.

I felt the same till the past year. Zelda and FFXV reignited my love for vidya. Both magical experiences that touched me emotionally and made me feel like a kid again.

I hope you find a game that does that for you, anon.

There are two solutions;
Option 1:
Take some time off from vidya, find another hobby, try something new, and loose yourself in it.

Try vidya again a year or so later and it will feel like playing for the first time all over again.

Option #2:
Get high as a motherfucker, makes games more enjoyable but is also more expensive than option 1. You might be a straightedge fag too so this option may not be open to you.
