Back in highschool when I played it when it my friends we just played it to relax and do random stuff together to kill time. Looking back at it now I'm pretty happy I spent time with them on this game.

I played it back in the eternal alpha stage. The whole, you can do anything, is true. It's really fun fucking around with friends, building stuff, surviving, exploring caves, too many ways to goof around.

I mean youre in 4chan and the appeal of most games not made by your favorite developer or by some obscure indie guy is probably gone now. Exploring caves and trying to plan your house or castle is fuckton interesting for most kids. Also playing in survival pvp servers with your friends is appealing to most gamers. Look at the appeal of early access games on steam.
