It's funny how no one says it but this was probably the worst E3 in a very, very long time, maybe even ever.
Microsoft and Sony almost solely focus on those stupid QTE cinematic games and they re filled to the brim with suspicious maybe-maybe-not propaganda.
Nintendo is letting us know they are working on games that are not coming out for years and doesn't even show us a shitty hype pre-rendered trailer.
That's it.
E3 is an outdated event.
In the past it actually served a purpose in letting people get lots of exposure for their games. Internet was still a lot more fragmented, and, most importantly, the social media did not exist. Word of new games got around much slower if you announced them on your website that maybe 1000 people ever even went to. Now companies can just announce their games wherever the fuck they want and, if people get hyped, that shit will be all over the social media in a matter of hours.
You don't need E3 to get exposure for your games anymore. All the smaller publishers are gone and it's just the console trio, and a couple of huge companies no one likes that are left.
I don't even watch them anymore.
