I'm confused as to how the DS version happened since Microsoft owned Rare at that stage. I'd kill for a Viva Piñata Switch or a full XBone sequel which would lure me into buying one.

Microsoft put a few games out on the DS. They realized they were never going to do a portable Xbox, so they considered it a different market entirely. I know there was an attempt at a Halo DS, but I forget if that was in house from Microsoft or a pitch from another studio.

i'm not really a fan of the cultural appropriation. piñatas are apart of a sacred mexican tradition that in no way should be made light of.
