Should I play pic related original modded or Enhanced Edition?

If it's your first playthrough, play the original without mods. After your first playthrough, start fiddling with technical mods and see what you enjoy. Most people go with BGT and the widescreen mod as starting points, though honestly, I've never really found either terribly necessary.

Under no circumstances should you buy or patronize BG Enhanced Edition ever. Even if you ignore the rewriting they did to the basic game, and the tons of political propaganda and social issues they injected into this twenty year old game, you should avoid it purely because they had all digital copies of the original purged from online retailers so people could ONLY buy their version.

I wouldn't even play a pirated version of their shit.

That's just dumb. There are a lot of improvements like dynamic zoom, better weapon switching and other QoL and UI changes that makes it objectively better than the original.
