When did this trend of releasing japanese games on PC started? I can only imagine that this started after Valkyria Chronicles good reception or maybe with Neptunia.
Wasn't Sony consoles supposed to be the weeb plataform to go? What went so wrong? After seeing their E3 conference it seens Sony only cares about the western audience now while japanese devs are getting a huge "fuck you" from Sony.
It started when the PS4 used x86-x64 architecture for the PS4 and porting became easy. Japanese games still sell more on playstation so why would sony change anything? And developers get more money by selling their shit on more platforms. It's not a big "fuck you" for japanese devs when they benefit the most from it by selling more copies of their games.
