Its not as forced as a lot of anons think. Noctis' entitled and lazy upbringing could only have been redeemed if he had forsaken his inherited power as king for the good of his kingom. He did exactly that in the ending and as rushed as the story was, I thought the ending made a lot of sense in an ironic way. Maybe I'm just thinking too hard about it, but I think the writers definitely had story in mind that made sense as a story, not necessarily a logical telling of historical events in that universe.

All those survey things are things they are already adding to the game, which is why they are just asking what fans want to see the most so that they will release the things fans want the most first.

The combat is not bad or lazy, if anything you are bad or lazy at the combat.

Story stuff happening off screen is not a problem when the intention is that you were not supposed to see the thing that happened.

Them adding new Ardyn stuff was mentioned ages ago in interviews, same with additional playable characters being mentioned multiple times as stuff they would be adding. Not to mention the survey itself says "items that receive many votes" which implies a plural of things would be added, so from that alone we can already tell that it's not just "only 1 thing will happen" kind of thing. There is guns but it looks like it works different to ep prompto. Prompto looks to have melee, action shooting and TPS. It has some really cool set piece moments like the Train ride and the boat ride into that Venetian water city. My main problems stemmed from it being a fairly boring while driving from point to point. If they had done something to make the driving more bearable I would've enjoyed it more. But the forced animations to get in the car, the loading screens if you chose to fast travel. It wasn't snappy and there were multiple times where I made guesses on whether or not it was faster to drive to a point or fast travel to it. The load times were the most dangerous part of that game for me.

Well, I can describe it if you want. I remember some spic getting his hand on an early copy and streaming the game. No one could've predicted how bad the game would be. I remember talking to the spic in chat as he was doing late-game dungeons and he said it's the most repetitive and boring combat system ever. I didn't want to believe him, but I kept watching and it really did show. I remember just sitting there with chat in awe at how awful the fucking final boss and everything leading up to it was. Insomnia was a long dark narrow hallway filled with bullet sponges. The spic was just embarrassing Ardyn by simply wacking him repeatedly. And then the fucking QTE moment.

I jumped ship so fast, after watching him. I was so excited for the game; expecting to be blown away but the game was just as shallow as the trailers depicted.
