True answer here anon.
Get 4u if you have a 3ds. If you absolutely need to play on your. Tv、get 3u for wiiu
>tfw no mh4u on vita

never ever, sorry vitabro

Emulate Freedom Unite or Portable 3rd. If you have a vita I think you can buy Freedom Unite from the psn store. The reason for these is there is very little shenanigans so you can start with the absolute basics. The progression in these two is super satisfying too.
Wait for world or the switch port for XX
mhxx on switch, BEST place to start

Nah it's mechanics are dated as fuck.

I remember dying like 30 times to the rathian in this game. The one time I was about to kill it my dad came in and took my psp away because it was late. I really wanted that fucking rathian armor.

I highly suggest MHFU since it has the most content with the older ones. I don't know about the first one, might be worth checking out. Tri/Portable is pretty fun too. Pack some patience and perseverance because this game doesn't do well with ADHD.

delet this

Vita bro, you can project the Ps4 MHW onto the Vita. You can finally play Monhun on Vita

I would pirate Tri, assuming you've hacked your Wii, and you can decide from there how you feel about the series.
You could also emulate MHFU but it might feel kind of dated. It's my favorite game in the series, but the hitboxes are bullshit and might be frustrating as a new player.

Oh yeah, I missed that you have a Vita. I would play Portable 3rd with the translation patch.
wait for MH5 that was just announced during E3 for the most updated and cleanest experience
