>no-one is playing the new gamemodes, only modes you can queue for are DM and TDM because of this.
>play a few games of that, it's alright but it's nothing great, and it's definitely no the clan warfare mode.
>ask in chat what the appeal is to play QC over QL or Q3.
>everyone gets butthurt and tells me to fuck off to those games, they continue to chat about how great Quake is while not actually playing the game.

This is the problem with arena shooters, people want to be in the arena shooter crowd for the rep but they don't actually want to play them, this is why the genre is dead, they keep professing their love for the game but when literally 3/4ths of the logged in players are chatting in the lobby instead of actually playing the game (especially not playing the new gamemode the game is supposed to be based around, it's DOA.)
