They didn't remake it, they just ported it to x64 version of their engine (same as fallout 4), and added new shaders / lightning

What is the appeal of Samus Returns?

If its just going to be a remake of M2, AM2R was really good. I dont much see how SR will be much better? I could see it being on par with AM2R but what else could make it better? I doubt there will be anymore substantially new content to it. And itll probably only be 8hrs long at best, with replayability being about the same as any Metroid game (a playthrough on normal and hard, and any challenge modes or speed running you may personally want to do). But other than that, why?

If AM2R never came out, fine. But I feel like theres just not much too SR.
